Hi everyone! I am selling a 1983 650 Nighthawk with title and parts bike. It's a complete bike in good shape with side covers. I ran low on oil but it still ran so I replaced the top end and then the bottom end went. The 550 is mostly complete with about 14,000 miles and a rebuilt motor that

That's what happened to me when I rode my bike hard and long one day. What can happen is that, especially on these older Nighthawks, you get some blow-by in your engine. You should always check your oil before a run, during a run, and after a run. Did you have any engine noise? From: Mack

this is usually caused by a leaky intake gasket allowing unmetered air into the engine thus throwing the ECU's PID for a loop.
