get a caliper rebuild kit to start with, then take them apart (carefully mind you) and clean the snot and junk out of them and put the pieces back together. On my 700s it didnt take long, and we went thru 1 and a half cans of break parts cleaner (they were nasty grungy after the bike sat for 7 is

Were you holding the front brake level? That usually causes problems when the front wheel tries to move. ;-) But seriously, one of the bikes I had a while ago (that I never got running) needed me to pump the brakes multiple times in order for them to...unlock? I'm not quite sure what exactly. But
