The 16T front sprocket is a good mod. I found myself not looking for the
6th gear anymore.

Michelin's Pilot 3's, with the 150's instead of the 140's on the rear. I've
been told the 140 comes in the Michelin Pilot 4. The 150 on the rear
dropped the highway rev's by a smidgen but it is noticeable. These tires
are great. They have helped my confidence on this bike a buttload.
I envy all you guys who have tire shops that will mount and balance tires
for low costs when you bring them in yourself.
Here, if you don't buy it at the shop either they won't do it or they
charge $75-80 a wheel.

The battlax is a great tire IMHO, used them on 1987 vfr700 1984 cb700s and
gsx600f katana. Never gave me any doubt they wouldn't hold. They hold well in
the wet also. If you have a shop around I think it's easier to take the wheels
and tires too them and pay for mount and balance. Around
Good read.

Maybe I misunderstood you. Do you mean "if they are NOT different sizes"?
Considering the way the PC tires are encased in the trunk and the spats. I
can't recommend changing tire sizes without taking good measurements,
unless you are sizing down.
And speaking of sizing down, actually, I

Looks like you and I
I had a friend that went over to the dark side on his Suzuki. I rode it for
a while and in a straight line it's fine, you really can't tell a
difference, but when it comes time to make a turn you definitely notice.
The problem is that car tires are flat instead of rounded like a motorcycle
tire.
Looks like you and I are the ones who post about distance riding on the
list. My trip to the Keys last November was probably my last on the
Nighthawk, and I only took her on that trip because the PC800 has a tire
size that nobody stocks locally, and I didn't have time to order and wait.

Good to know.
Thanks.
Trial and error. Looking to place big highway miles. So I am looking for
road and rain tolerant rubber. Longevity is a 'give and take' situation.
If they grip but do not last, they think of the tires as good practice for
tire changing.

I see you've ordered, but the original Dunlop K505s plus Pirelli Sport
Demon tires were also options.
