There is to much missing, for me to want to be seen on that thing. You
could get a parts bike or sell it for parts. Any money you put in that bike
will be lost unless you restore it. The chopped frame could be repaired, but
would be impractical, because if you had to weld back in, you would use t

Clickie the link, and Google informs me that page was not found. I don't
have a Picasa account (I use photobucket) so I can't be of much help.

Off the top of my head - I couldn't tell you. Mine are mounted through
the Vetter hard bag quick attach framework - so their location is not
stock. I don't think they are even the same lights as stock - but then
again I'm basing that on the physical size - and perhaps they just
look too big cause t
Yes, I didn't chop the frame at all just the rear fender, it looked like
the rear turn signals mount to the fender so I don't think it would require
cutting the frame to relocate them forward, might need to weld on a bracket
though.

Allen,
None of that is necessarily permanent right? Could always
put a different seat and fender on
Sounds like a mild custom treatment. Looks cool!

Sorry, for whatever reason Picassa didn't make it public. Yes it is a
GL1000L.
Either try again or here is the link to my public albums.

I'm hoping to work something out with Graham to get a hold of a 1978 GS100L
he has been working on. Since we're talking about cafe' and other mods I
thought I'd post my photoshop of what I want to do with it. What I did was
chop the rear fender, cut down the Queen part of the seat, moved the rear

It's one of "those mornings" and I needed to lighten it with a bit of

Also, as the "price" for being on the list, we demand a sacrifice of
photographs of what you're working with. An appeasement to the Honda Gods,
offered up in kinship with other Nighthawkers.
Or, in other words, Pics Please! :p

I thought that myself, thus my decision to go "courier." Basically, café
with luggage of a harder sort. Plan to color match cases and such, and go
with the more angular style to match the angles on the very 80s 650. It
won't be /quite/ true to cafe standards, but it will definitely show cafe

Vintage stock, done well, can't be beat. What a look. BS

if all you have is an engine and a title.. then rat it out... if the frame
is good at all then it needs to be repaired. im not going to say that
it needs to be orignal, but im going to agree with what was said earlier
about once you start chopping the frame, theres no going back

Not all of us are against bobbers. But IMHO a bobber has to be done well or not
at all. If not then just rattle can the thing and go for the Mad Max ratbike

All replaceable, fairly easily. But once you start cutting frame and
chopping and bobbing, it can't go back. Put me in the "no bobber" camp.
The 650 I'm making a summer project needs all the stuff you mentioned plus
forks. I'm going "courier" with it, cafe inspired but nothing irreversible
in case
Wasn't one of our members offering a 550 or 650 for sale with a blown
engine but good otherwise?
Perhaps one could do a swap?
