The 16T front sprocket is a good mod. I found myself not looking for the
6th gear anymore.

I envy all you guys who have tire shops that will mount and balance tires
for low costs when you bring them in yourself.
Here, if you don't buy it at the shop either they won't do it or they
charge $75-80 a wheel.

The battlax is a great tire IMHO, used them on 1987 vfr700 1984 cb700s and
gsx600f katana. Never gave me any doubt they wouldn't hold. They hold well in
the wet also. If you have a shop around I think it's easier to take the wheels
and tires too them and pay for mount and balance. Around her

The joy of not having a tire in stock, means that when they do come in, they're
going to be fresh off the press. Definitely an improvement over the 9 year old
tires I've been currently riding on.

Yeah, this one with the car tire and saddle bags was fairly well balanced
at red lights, and maybe if I rode it more I would have been able to get
used to having to throw it into every turn. I only had it for a week though
and that tire always bugged me. It's not a permanent modification though,
so
What size wheels does your PC have?

Looks like you and I are
I had a friend that went over to the dark side on his Suzuki. I rode it for
a while and in a straight line it's fine, you really can't tell a
difference, but when it comes time to make a turn you definitely notice.
The problem is that car tires are flat instead of rounded like a motorcycle
tire. Si
I use the Michelin Pilot Activs and love them, plus they come in the proper
sizes for the 'Hawk. I'm not a rain rider, but the grip and ride have been
exceptional in all other conditions.

Good to know.
Thanks.
Trial and error. Looking to place big highway miles. So I am looking for
road and rain tolerant rubber. Longevity is a 'give and take' situation.
If they grip but do not last, they think of the tires as good practice for
tire changing.
