Columbia is not happy because it damages the relationship they have with
their retailers in England, so just the UK branch of SONY BMG pulled out...
because their retailers were upset.
Columbia overall is probably still miffed because apparently this deal was
in the works before he got into talks
Yeah it sounds like a great show... good to see some classics and rarities
making their way into the set.
Re: the ticketing, I agree with Derek. Emailing credit card information is

That's what I said... Prince has NO say on how much tickets to HIS
performance cost?
If the hotel is only trying to recup the money they are paying Prince then
the hotel's prices are not "overpriced," that's just business. Even Prince
& his advisors must have known that $77.07 x 200 tix would not
LOL. I guess from now on, every time he needs to sell something, he'll
bundle it with a concert?
My question is what kind of Macy's is set up for an audience of 1,400? In
MPLS of all places?

Check out this lecture/demo by Clare Fischer--the man behind the
orchestra/string arrangements on "Parade," The Family, Jill Jones, and much
of the golden era Prince. In the video clip, Clare plays "I Wonder U" and
then plays what he originally did / sent for Prince

This goes into the Prince WTF?!!? file.
Interesting that the 3121perfume page mentions its launch to coincide with a
"global charity event" which would seem to suggest that he is on board in

Well there are reports that the planners of the Live Earth <

concerts on 7/7/07. Then there were those rumors (unrelated to Live Earth)
from people who attended Dec 3121 shows that something was being planned for

Yeah I think it's a standard fee calculated annually or something. I
used to work for a performing arts venue, and they had to make annual
payments to ASCAP and BMI for performances that covered artists for
whom ASCAP/BMI administered royalties.

I feel the same way. Even the aftershows have not sounded that
impressive to me... sure the intimacy of the venue is special, but
musically, it's not enough of his material at either the main shows or
the aftershows. Hope if/when there is a tour, there are new setlists.
