Well, hopefully it might have decided to play nicely by Monday. The
machines I tested had been re-booted at least twice with at least 3 logins
(including one by an admin rather than a user) before the gaskets
failed.

Try MRemote. I'm using it primarily for RDP but it handles VNC fine as
well. Of course I've only got two or three VNC connections so YMMV.

Well, it did install. But you are correct. Had this been a production
machine I would never had done that given the Vista name of the hotfix.
