I would probably do the following: In logon script check to see if file exists, i.e. x:\logon.txt if it doesn't, continue login if it does, do logout message and logout. In logoff script delete x:\logon.txt No very foolproof as the user could just delete the file and logon somewhere

Yes, it's just a continuity tester. Not checking A or B. It doesn't even test for cross-over. I needed to plugged one in to get the pattern. They definitely crossed the cables. They connected to the patch panel the same as all my other (B) connections, but the wall jack termination is A. So
