If you use the psexec command as the user to run a command (i.e., cmd.exe), does it work? Or is it specific to a VBScript file? Since the script fails to run at all (rather than reporting an error running), it is likely that the problem is not with the VBScript code, but that it is a VBScript

The registry keys, yes, using GPP (group policy preferences). An alternative to turning off strict name checking is to create NetBIOS optional names. I don't know if the optional names would regsister in DNS, so you still might need to create the CNAME. David Lum david@nwea.org
