I inherited an iMail server when I started here. I love it, and the price is great.
Exchange is nice, but SOOO expensive.

I waited until Win2k was out for about a year and then began upgrading my
servers from NT4. I've got 3 NT4 servers left and I can't wait to get to
them. Win2k is faster, more stable, and easier to administrate.
As for clients, new machines and rebuilds are done as Win2k. Older
(existing) clients
I used the tool, UPTOMP.exe I think, with no problem. Here is what I did:
Add second CPU
Run UPTOMP.exe
Reboot
Re-apply latest service pack
Reboot
It worked like a charm with no problems. Of course, do a full back up first!
I've heard horror stories where the system never comes back up after run
I read a MS whitepaper a few weeks back that said if you are hitting 2
often, you have a processor problem. It's was a Win2k white paper, but I
think it applies to NT4 as well.
I was averaging 2, added a second processor and now average 0.
