The best part of rooting for most people is that you can use it on any
carrier. This is very important to us in the US who are f'd by the current
cell service monopolies.

Somewhat related question: does anyone know if Sprint phones will work on
Verizon? They're both CDMA, so at least theoretically, they should. I know
Verizon doesn't use a SIM card, and I don't think Sprint does either. Just
curious. I was thinking of possibly trying to find a used Android phone

issues (now that Motorola fixed the initial problems).
Touchdown is good, but I don’t like having redundant apps on my device and the
hassle of having Touchdown sync to the native Contact app
