I'm still using a Travan, which comes in a 20gig version. I've also got a VXA unit that I haven't put into production. It was about $800 at the time.

Could be wrong but I always thought DDS were different versions of DAT - DDS4 for example could do 20 gigs compressed.
Used DAT/DDS here until we out grew it and moved to DLT - works like a champ
