Looking for recommendations for a replacement system.
Need USB and PS2 connectivity. One local user and one IP user. Up to
32 servers.
Don't need serial or power control.
I'd prefer cat5/6 cabling from the box to the servers to reduce cable
clutter in the 2 racks.
My biggest concern is good I
ve trouble keeping the mouse position synchronized.

Avocent, first and foremost.
However, I've been looking at this for a single-port IP KVM, for
remote installations:

Also +1 on Avocent. Although we use the Dell branded versions. I've had zero
problems with them.

Another solid vote for Avocent.
I've had one at home for 9 years now, and the ones that I've deployed at
various organizations have been rock solid.
As for what to avoid, I have successfully avoided Raritan for years.

We have a couple of raritan units at clients. Only real issue we have
had is mouse syncing over IP connections. Played around with the
settings enough to be fairly usable, but annoying.

I'm hoping to get some recommendations on purchasing a KVM switch -
brands that are good or bad, features to look for, etc.
What I have is a room with 10 servers, all Dell PowerEdge from about 6
or 7 years old to new, different models. Some have USB 1.1, some 2.0,
most have PS2 ports

I've bought two IOGear KVM switches so far. The first one was a PS/2 only

with the PS2->USB adapter. Then I bought another IOGear, this time a USB
one and it wouldn't pass the unifying receiver from my Wireless Logitech
