Have you looked at the DNS server? Does the server in question have more
than one NIC? Have you considered the possiblity of a rogue DNS server or
another machine using the same name?

the correct IP Address. I saw this once with an incorrect record in a

Looks like there a re a lot of dead entries in the reverse lookup zones. I
removed the one that matched the IP address for the server, but it did not
have the same name for the server.
