Did you install a new software last time?
This could happen if you are runing programs, which are dealing with memory
not just the best way
( i.e. few old versions of Wingate).

Kliment has the right idea. Our server would hang due to a memory leak that an application had. You might want to run Performance Monitor to see if your memory usage rises steadily for no apparent reason. If so, you may have to shut down services or applications

You know, as strange as this sounds I had a problem similar if not exactly
to this and found a fix. The machine kept tanking, and I noticed it seemed
to just get confused but this registry entry fixed the machine and it's been
rock solid ever since.
