I have tried that. Setup the ultimate windows Boot CD to boot from USB. And when booted, Viprerescue scans the USB not the C:Drive It would appear that Viprerescue is using scanning the boot drive no matter which drive you boot from, So an option to specify drive to be scanned would be easy to
