On the ocean in front of the swale at West End 2 a Brown Pelican was seen 75 yards off the beach. It disappeared while I was scanning the flocks of shorebirds and gulls and was gone when Stan came by. A probable Am Golden Plover was on the water's edge there. Also a Marbled Godwit at the Coas

Bob Kurtz found a Buff-breasted Sandpiper at parking Field 7 at Heckscher State Park this morning. At about 12:00PM we relocated the bird feeding in the (mostly) dry, grassy portions of the parking lot. The Buffie was joined by a Baird's Sandpiper that eventually joined a flock of feeding peep.
