Interesting day for ongoing movement as well as a modest and possibly
widespread drop-in from the night before. Overall numbers of some common and
expected migrants were up, including Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Yellow-shafted
Forwarding a post on ebirdsnyc (see below). Lark Sparrow is a very good
bird for Queens. This should have made the list serve a lot sooner; I hope
others could get out there and look for it.

Had a similar experience to Ken (but with no AGP). Did pick a few decent
sparrows with a (the continuing) LARK SPARROW at Robert Moses (Field 2), a
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW (Field 5), and a LINCOLN'S SPARROW at Jones Beach
(fisherman's road, West End).

dominated by Flickers, Catbirds, and Phoebes. There was more sparrow
diversity but still low numbers. At Jones Beach West End there were

the lawn in Bryant Park. Work continues today, and it looks like
they're putting in some evergreens. Meanwhile, there are still quite
