Dune road was very quiet today. Large portions of Tiana Bay are frozen over with black ducks and gulls everywhere. Only saw one Northern Harrier that we spooked from the shoulder of the road. Plenty of Scoters near the inlet (on the west side of the jetty) but didn't spend the time to see if

Just a repost of my earlier post to clarify. The BOWA was discovered at the West End 2 turn around. It was not associating with any other birds. It flew into the center and was subsequently refound. West End 2 is part of Jones Beach State Park for those unfamiliar with the area. Robert A.

David Burg and I scoured the area around Blue Chip Farm & the Shawangunk Grasslands in Wallkill for the Gyrfalcon today from about 9-1. We did not locate the bird; however, we also noted a surprising absence of other birders, only encountering 2 or 3, so it's entirely possible the bird was
