It may be worth adding to these the report from October 1 of last year of a
bird flying up the Hudson in northern Ulster county:
https://ebird.org/checklist/S151204238. Many region 8 birders staked out
various spots among the river, but did not relocate a flamingo.

“flew west and then north to around here 42.19756, -74.03823.”
This is the first record of this western species for Greene County and only
the fourth for Region 8.

I observed and photographed a black-headed gull at Veterans Memorial Pier
this afternoon. I’ll upload photos to eBird later. It flew off about 30
minutes ago and has not returned. I haven’t found anything i’d Be
comfortable calling a Mew Gull.

Hi,
I had a Nelson's Sparrow singing continuously by the creek at the end of
the Plumb Beach saltmarsh, near where it meets the beach this morning. A
seaside Sparrow was singing further back in the marsh.

I'm guessing that no news is bad news, but it would be good to know either
way. Driving down from Albany.

>From what I remember, Jay MacGowan got decent recordings of the Central
Park bird that indicated Pacific Slope even before the DNA tests were
complete. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Pacific Slope seems to have more of a vagrancy pattern, assuming that they
really are two different species, which, as
low-bellied.
