Sorry for the late post on this, but the Little Gull was seen yesterday
around 11:30-12:00 at Montauk Point. It was flying over the mass of Scoters
in loose association with a small(6-12) group of Bonaparte's. I viewed it
for a short time, lost it and relocated it in the same general area.

The LITTLE GULL originally found by George Chiu
yesterday at Dorchester Park was near the rusty bridge
in the channel at Upper Lisle County Park this afternoon.
(an ebird hotspot)
The bird was with several BONAPARTE'S GULLS. I spotted
it by the white primary feathers near the back of the bird.

Today George Chiu found a first Broome County record LITTLE GULL
at Dorchester Park in Whitney Point. The bird was with a bunch of
Bonaparte's Gulls and at times on the parking lot of the boat launch.
The bird was an adult in basic plumage.

Just refound the (?) bird very far out. I am at Conference House Park looking
towards the flats of South Amboy. There are hundreds of birds circling out
there. Hard to get an accurate count but would guess about 500 birds. Of note,
2 were reported from there a few hours ago on the Jersey side.

I had not been to Jones Inlet since the Southern Nassau CBC and wanted to see
what changes in the Inlet's bird populations may have occurred as a result of
the recent cold spell. Upon arrival at the Fisherman's Parking Lot there were
clearly more Bonaparte's Gulls then my early January visit.
I heard from Tom Burke that he and Gail found an adult LITTLE GULL (with
about 100 Bonaparte's Gulls) late today out on the ocean off Point Lookout
Town Park. There was a frenzy of large gulls at the mouth of Jones Inlet
earlier in the day, but they appeared to be all Herring. Still RAZORBILL
