Hi everyone,
Apparently, there is a confusion about the name of the pond where the goose is
at. The first report said it's Lake Success. But if you put Lake Success in

The goose is at the pond that is south of the NSP.

Holtsville field (Suffolk Co.) this morning (7:00-8:00 AM) as geese
continued to fly in from the south and east, but the Pink-footed Goose
was not among the 120 or so Canadas at Holtsville or the 40 or so at
Medford. I tried la
I was able to get a few decent photos of the Pink-footed Goose in
Holtsville this evening. If you go and are interested in getting a little
closer for photography without making all of the birds fly and walk away
there's a fence that runs along the eastern sides of the field and for the
most part
In Holtsville field right now. It landed in at 4:49 PM. Far end of the field.
Spotted in flight from afar by Michael Scheibel.

The pink footed goose was not at the park (nor were any other geese) located at
112 and horseblock rd. I didn't see any other geese at the nearby elementary
school, high school or town hall.

As of 7:40 AM, the Pink-footed Goose was NOT present in the Holtsville soccer

I decided I'd try for it in my way into work. When I arrived, Rob Bate and Rich

At 4:45 PM I observed a Pink-footed Goose foraging in a large soccer field in
Holtsville.
The field is located along the North service road of the Long Island

The goose was still present at 5:30 PM when I left the site. It was among
Late this afternoon while out looking for Cackling Goose in Queens, I found
a Pink-footed Goose. The location may not be very familiar to many, so I
have tried to map it out and posted additional information on my blog. See

The Pink-footed Goose was reported early today (by a member of our local club),

I was wondering if people have been searching for the Pink-footed goose in
Middletown lately. Amy and I are in upstate NY and considering looking for
the bird. I would appreciate any negative reports. Thanks.

Kevin McGann and I went to Middletown to see if the Pink-footed Goose was still

the Psychiatric Center on Route 17M with no success. Most of the geese we did
find were on the pond visible from the foot trail off 6 & 1/
dHi All,
I wanted to update the status of the PfG for anyone considering
searching for it this weekend. To my knowledge, the bird was last seen on
Wednesday morning by Rob Bate and Rich Fried.
It is very possible that this bird is still around and has just not been
relocated y
