The Ross's Goose continues at Baisley Park this morning. Thanks to Shane
Bodget for taking us straight to the bird in the ball fields at the corner
of 150th St and Rockaway Blvd. On the pond we found redhead ducks,
ring-necked ducks, coots american wigeon, northern shoveler and ruddy ducks.

My mom and I found a Ross's Goose in the field behind the Reeves Ave Buffalo
Farm. There is also a Cackling and blue morph Snow Goose present among about
1500 geese.
We are viewing the field from Reeves Ave just west of the farm.

This morning, while headed east on Sound Ave., I noticed a large group of
Canada Geese streaming into a farm field north of the road. I turned off onto
Oakleigh Avenue (north) which provided a nice vantage point for viewing the
flock of 1000+ Canada Geese. Within the flock was a single ROSS'S GO

I was able to see the Ross's Goose found yesterday by Jim Pawlicki and Bill
Watson at Beaver Island SP (Grand Island, NY). The bird was on the manicured

I am looking at a Ross's Goose at Edgemere Landfill in Queens. It is one of
only four white geese present, the others being Snow Geese. Kind of weird that
all winter thousands of Snow Geese were here and no Ross's but now that there
are only four birds one is a Ross's.

Though the Snow Goose flock at the Camel Farm took off this morning, they
returned in about an hour. Down to about 1,000 birds at this time, the Ross's
Goose was immediately spotted. They remained at the farm for the remainder of

This morning fog lifted from Merrits Pond revealing the white doll-eyed Ross's
Goose, most probably the same initially reported by Michael M. but not same as
the individual seen at Hecksher. 8:15-9am. Among 1500+ Canada's, one being GL1

This is the very direction that the sub-flock containing the Ross's seemed to
head, leaving the river than hooking west. I did canvas Hecksher thoroughly,
after the fact, but came up empty. Thrilled to hear you relocated the bird!

roosting on the ice (both "halves" are mostly iced-over) were 9 Snow Geese, 5
being blue morphs. I was then joined by fellow ELIAS members,
Rob Jett and i are currently looking at a Ross's goose in the creek behind Mark
Twain JHS on Neptune Ave and West 24th Street. Possibly the same bird that has
been seen on and off at Floyd Bennett Field and the Brooklyn Golf Center.
