Virgil, the Blue Flame Six was used in the first Corvettes. I'm pretty sure it was a 235, not a 216 ci. Interesting to note that Chevrolet first produced a V-8 engine in 1917, but it only lasted two years before it was dropped. No other V-8 'til the introduction of the 265 ci V-8 in '55. Tom
