Dan, thanks for the explanation and also for the positive news that
Evergreen 2.0 should be able to handle these characters without problems
:-)!
Deanna, I believe that USMARC or SUTRS syntax should not be the problem
as other bib records in USMARC format have been processed correctly.

Hi Vicki!
There are several documentation initives in the works but as of now there is
not a comprehensive Administrators setup guide.
The best place to start is http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php in terms of a
repository of pages for admins. Asking questions in IRC and on the lists
http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-admin might help
although it spans multiple versions and has a lot of holes as well.

Vickie,
A large part of the challenge you mention is the migration of data from
your old system into Evergreen. It's certainly a part of getting started
on Evergreen but not strictly speaking an Evergreen issue. A person
moving data from Horizon might have very different issues to face than
Thank you. I'm coming from Booksys's Atriuum using the Export MARC

$iDOU
$kF-AF

$302/22/2007
$925.00

Hi Alan,
In my experience, the only way to find out what's going wrong is to look in the
Evergreen logs. On a default installation these will exist in /openils/var/log
and the one you're probably looking for is open-ils.ingest-unix.log, though
you might check vandelay_unix.log as well. You
I'm using the 1.6.0.6 client and Evergreen 1.6.0.7. I've got a file of
MARC records, with item-level data for each record in 945 tags.
On the MARC file upload screen under Cataloging/MARC Batch
Import/Export, I see the check box for Import Attached Holdings. This

Hi All,
Just a quick query here.
I'm just wondering if there are any other Libraries in Australia, except from
us [Library Services (Tasmania)] using the Evergreen ILS.
If your able to drop me a line that would be fantastic!
Have a good weekend!
Best Wishes,Joel
