Dan, thanks for the explanation and also for the positive news that Evergreen 2.0 should be able to handle these characters without problems :-)! Deanna, I believe that USMARC or SUTRS syntax should not be the problem as other bib records in USMARC format have been processed correctly.

Vickie, A large part of the challenge you mention is the migration of data from your old system into Evergreen. It's certainly a part of getting started on Evergreen but not strictly speaking an Evergreen issue. A person moving data from Horizon might have very different issues to face than

Hi Alan, In my experience, the only way to find out what's going wrong is to look in the Evergreen logs. On a default installation these will exist in /openils/var/log and the one you're probably looking for is open-ils.ingest-unix.log, though you might check vandelay_unix.log as well. You
