Hi,
Here’s a recipe to update quagga in OE meta-networking to the latest version.
Subject: [PATCH] Updated quagga to version 1.2.1. Added c-ares dependency as
this is now needed by build time configure setup.

Are there any examples at all somewhere?

We seem to still rely on Ruby 1.9, while the openembedded-core Ruby is
at 2.2. Guess there isn't much to do if it's been removed though. :/
I filed a very minor issue at

Another "bug" is that meta/recipes-devtools/ruby (i.e., the newer Ruby
recipe) uses --disable-versioned-paths too even though afaics no such
option exists in that version. Maybe I should report that separately.

Right now, it gives a warning during build.
Just because some think we should support both, it does not mean we have to
*use* both.
Applying the patch should fix the warning message, which should be priority one.

C is depending on D, which is depending on B. B and C is depending on A.
A is built, then B is built, and then D finalizing with C.
If you only want B, don't include C in the image.

working on another project right now, so I don't know
when I have time to test this out on oe-core, so anyone
else interested, feel free to implement it

thanks for numbers. Is there statistics on 64bit host Vs. 32bit build
host available too ?
We discussed that a few days ago.
My comparision between 2 similar machines indicate that
that I see the same.
Builds on 11.04, but not on 11.10.

complete the build
(Calculated, I gave up way before), but then I got a decent machine.
If you consider 1.5 hours for the first build long, then you still have
a problem

Noticed that the wiki seems to be wrong on the 2011.03 release.
http://www.openembedded.org/wiki/Release-2011.03
The page tells you to:
git checkout release-2011.03
or
git checkout -b release-2011.03 origin/release-2011.03
I tried, and that failed.
$ git checkout -b ulf/release-2011.03

Hi Ulf,
may you please update the status of your patches in patchwork when you
commit them ?
You actually have 15 in patchwork, most of them seems commited or
superseded and it's time consumming to check if they are really
commited and delete them
