This bug has been solved. I had XP Codecs installed on two different computers
that was causing the crash. Once I removed the XP codec package, it is working
fine.

I successfully tested video playback with mp4 videos on 10.5.8 and with
the latest build from http://openlp.org/files/latest.dmg This was fixed
with the new packaging for 1.9.4
