There is no solution for all languages (at least not programmatically).
Bugs in the code can be fixed easily. But bugs in the translations
causing bugs/problems are more difficult to fix, because we don't check
what the translator translate.
The one-letter solutions looks much better than the
And you cannot use Bridge. Among musician this term is well known in

Well, I could but Stick is the correct Swedish translation and it
wouldn't solve the problem with similar cases in other languages.

All,
I think the double-character solution would cover all languages reported so
far.
If not, at least using double-character only for some blocks
shouldn't this be in the guidelines of the translations to avoid repeated
First Char or Double Char.

I ran into this problem with the Brazilian Portugues translation.
In the file format, the differente kinds of verses are written out
without abbreviation: ---Refrão: 1---, etc...
Since Pre- is kind of universal, and blocks all words starting with P,
wouldn't it be a better idea to use a symbol
Or just double-character like just P1 for pre-chorus and PU1/PO1 for
Puente/Ponte.
