removing an application (assuming that's what you mean by unloading a
gadget) but this may be added after version 0.8 of the API is pushed

I dont know of anything like that. For that matter, if a user removes the
app and adds again, his previously stored app data is available. So that
means user removes app, even the user app data is not deleted. am not
complaining, but just starting what I noticed.
