Sandbox is an environment which the orkut people use for testing and so
was released for app developers too.
But, there were many things that seemed to worn with sandbox and just
wouldn't with the real orkut. So, to resole this, they came up with
prod.sandbox.orkut.com.

update is pushed to the sandbox at least one week before it's pushed
