I am not sure I am following you. SUN is providing Solaris 10 OS and that's
what I am using. Why do I need to install OpenSolaris when I have the software
from SUN? What's the difference between OpenSolaris and SUN's Solaris OS?

Are you suggesting the best way is to get rid of the existing Solaris 10 3/05
version and reinstall with the version 1/06 OS? I am aware GRUB is not
