Wouldn't it be easier to just read the input using fgets(), fread(), etc. until
you get the entire string, then use sscanf() on the string you read?
Of course, there are a lot of issues with reading input like this. First and
foremost, how do you know when it's done? If you use a fixed-length

Hi Robin.
Not sure if this is a bug, or if your flar archive is corrupt. A few
questions:
How soon after you start the install do you get the error? Is it
immediate, or does it run for a while first?
Have you checked that the archive is not corrupt? Does "flar info -l" work?

We ran into this bug today using the Live upgrade from Sol 10u3 - Sol 10u4.
We are working in a sandbox environment and after doing the whole process of
getting the BE prepared, we did not boot the zones again (to simulate the real
production environment).
Live upgrade is running but you cannot
We are running a live upgrade from Sol 10 u3 to Sol 10 u4 at the moment using a
E4500.
We have 3 zones - approx 4G each.
We started the live upgrade to prepare the server that took quite a long time
(approx 7 hours)
At this point we are in the process of upgrading, but it is taking a very long

It's an implementation defined limit.

This is great, thanks Dennis!
In our turn, we will continue CSW polishing in Nexenta and maybe one day
will make it default. It still needs fixing on our part, all bugs should
be reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/nexenta
and discussed on #nexenta IRC channel if time permits.

Hi,
I need to read more than 256 characteres from input (stdin) and pass it
to scanf() in a program, but on Solaris10 the limit that I reached is
256. On linux and AIX it works correctly.
I tried to redefine the settings below on limits.h:
MAX_CANON 256 /*max bytes in line for canonical process

How about adding a single wizard to add a whole on gate as a Net Beans project.
Its too time consuming to add the various make files etc etc that net beans
asks and often the user actually does not know what to add, where as he often
finds using vi much easier :)
