Hi folks
Getting a Type7 kbd UNIX layout... Ya I know, to some
it may seem surprizing, but around here, it's
something of a novelty.
Any old timers care to comment ? I already have a
mechanical keyboard, but type7 seems to be better but
at roughly $70 is quite a pretty penny.
In terms

I like the 1970 days - very epochy ;-)

In terms of shape and weight, it looks more like the good old
type 5 than the type 6 did.
I have a type 7, 6 and 5 here and what I would say is that I like the 7
best. It's (only) slightly heaver than the type 6 (much lighter than the
type 5). The type 5c was about as lightweight as the

Hi all,
I want to retrieve the SASaddress of the scsi devices attached to Scsi adapter.
Is there any method to retrieve the SASaddress of the scsi devices/scsi HBA?
I would really appreciate, if I get the information on function/

Would that be the port address or the target WWN? They're not the
same thing. If you don't understand this, anything you do with this

What about setting some nsswitch.conf entries (e.g. protocols/
services) to one source (NIS) and others (passwd/group) to another
(LDAP) and yet others (hosts) to another (DNS)? I would expect this
to be less problematic but greatly help in migrating map by map over
from NIS to LDAP.
Yes - the type 6 has a beep. I got a brand new one with my old Ultra 10 I
bought off eBay. ;-)
Cheers
Andrew.

The company I used to work for had an E450 running Solaris 2.6 and Informix SE
plus 4Js that was only ever shutdown for:
1. Power failures longer than half and hour (about every 6 months as we were
out in the stix).
2. Changing the battery on the A1000 RAID array, which was required ever 2

I'd double check that.
Type 6 is USB. An Ultra 10, was Sun's proprietary serial keyboard.
Type 5c and Type 6 look almost identical except for color of the plastic

Hi Keith,
I thought that I have given the idea of what I am doing.
I have developed a small application which shows the details of different

I succeeded in getting details of scsi devices like vendor, product, revision
