This is just odd.
After I install OpenSolaris snv_125 and then reboot ... I see that the
home directory for my default user ( sysadmin ) is not mounted. Nor is
anything else.
I set the console in grub to the ttya port :

wondering what the common practise is for Virtualization with OpenSolaris. I
read it supports both Xen and VirtualBox. Is either of those preferable over
the other with OpenSolaris? Also if I set Xen up can I export

to the laptop console but login through a ssh connection and transfer

NAS. When installing the OS form the live CD, the GUI loads just fine. After

I restarted into a new workspace and retried compilation with the --with-pic
option. As far as I can tell the PIC flags are being passed. However, now when
running gmake I keep getting the following error:
gmake[1]: Entering directory `/src/libiconv-1.13.1/src'
gcc -c -I. -I. -I.. -I../in

I changed my GCC from 4.4.2 to 3.4.3 and it worked! Here's my ./configure
options:
./configure --prefix=/usr/gnu --with-pic --enable-shared --with-gnu-ld
--with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --with-as --with-as=/usr/sfw/bin/gas
Does anyone know *why* this would work?

I can confirm the Asus M3A78-EM works nicely with OS. I've been running this
