I'm searching for an easy way to setup Squid as private Web-Cache-Proxy.
The people using squid told me to use webmin - but the osol-version of webmin
is outdated so that squid couldn't be configured this way.
gadmin-squid seems to be to buggy (and hard to build under osol 2009.06

I have converted couple of machines we had into opensolaris servers. They have
15 disk slots so we are using two MV88SX6081 8-port SATA II PCI-X Controller. I
created a raidz2 pool from 13 disks (first 2 are mirrored for rpool). I then
try to run a mkfile command to see what write speeds
Take a look for the word panic in /var/adm/messages. You may see a
stack trace there if it was a panic. Post everything between the first
panic line and the next instance of syncing filesystems. This should
give us the relevant information.

completely differently.
In my system, patches are never applied to production systems, but to the
operating system

Ths gui has always been disabled. I rebooted the server and specified -k on the
kernel line. It started out with something kdm on top so I assume it started
the kernel debugger. I ran the mkfile command but now it doesn't crash or

Yes all the packages are installed. Apparently I can't redirect
gnome-session output to a file so I'm going to try and transcribe this as
