Hi Atul,
Being at the grub prompt you can make solaris partition active. or you
can try using fdisk or other tool that can help you do that and try

Looks like even though the disk is marked bootable, it does not have
any active partition?
Is there any way to restore Solaris without reinstalling it?

Hi,
Where can I get statit tool mentioned at
http://www.solarisinternals.com/wiki/index.php/Statit ? Looks like it
is included in filebench tool. Is it part of standard distribution
like Solaris Developer express?

Hi Durga,
The process monitoring facility (PMF) of Suncluster is anable to
start your iPlanet Messaging Server. You should search for this error
string in Sunsolve collection. Otherwise mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and someone from the RGM team should help you.

HI,
If I want to time a utility, Linux allows me to do something like:
time -oa utility
which is convinient to put in shell script. On opensolaris, man page
of time(1) does not show any such option. Isn't it possible to record
output of time command (not of the utility invoked) in a file on
Yes Muthu. I got the device IDs but is there any way to verify the
disk with same device id when system is booted into Linux? "hdparm"
command in Linux shows Serial numbers, not device IDs.

Hi,
If SVM or Shared QFS is striping data across multiple disks and
one of the disk replies with I/O error, how is that error handled? In
case error is persistant, does SVM or shared QFS will roll back that
transaction?
For example, lets say I am striping across 4 disks using SVM.

Hi Gustavo,
I am not sure if I understand your question completely. There is
an application on openSolaris called Sun Cluster which itself is
multithreaded and is able to migrate any threaded program from nodes
to nodes in failover configuration. It is available for free download
on http://www.
