i dont think that's possible, solaris needs grub, and it needs solaris

A couple of things that you need to know:
1) There is currently no SPARC version of OpenSolaris at this time.
2) OpenSolaris is a different release from Solaris Express Community Edition.
You cannot upgrade from SXCE to OpenSolaris.

Everything we do are on sun systems. (Sparc) Generally V240's and V440's
The only thing I do with a windows box is burn cds/dvds
and download files which then get transfered to a sun box
After burning the image there are many files on the dvd.
