Which particular quality is build 58 supposed to posses that makes it
required for something?
... and if that something is in the ON consolidation, one possible
workaround, I think, would be to retrieve and build the source snapshot
from the ON mercurial repository (hg clone -r onnv_58).

I have a dvd-image of the desired build, but infortunately the machine I'm
working with does only have a cd-player and no internet connection (of course

If yes, can I use a ordinary splitting software or
The way I've overcome the 'no DVD' problem in the past has been to
lofi-mount your DVD iso on another server, exporting it through NFS and
then do a network install. For that however, you still need to have CD
number 1. Not sure if you can use a CD from a slightly different version.
