Hi,
The HP Proliant DL320s does officially not support Solaris-10. I was however
able to install and run OpenSolaris successfully up to svn_83 using a network
install server.
Later versions (up to the latest available svn_94) however hang quite early
during kernel boot:

Here are the errors and the environment settings:

Any ideas??
The way the libraries usually are structured is that

This is so ridiculous that an OS can boot into non “panic/hanged” state and be
entirely unusable after a fresh install.
I would understand if it failed during the install, but the install works
perfect. I reinstalled it (default settings) same thing.
I really wanted to change my FBSD desktop to
Hello
I am trying to get an Epson Stylus Photo R800 printer installed on Solaris 10.
The printer is a USB printer connected to a wireless Print Server on a wireless
LAN. Two other PCs running VISTA and Linux Arch can print to the printer so no
probs there.
I'm not sure how to go about

On startup I can see the server toolbox (ThisComputer) and select it.
Everything looks fine - but no tools. When I open the This Computer toolbox,

Upgrading to snv_94 does not solve the issue on my laptop (toshiba sattelite

Is there any way to resize /export/home so that I can create a slice for
LiveUpgrade to use?
I forgot that the old install tool doesn't automatically create space for
LiveUpgrade, and need to create it manually. I'd like to do this without
re-installing if possible. There's no user data

Sorry for the vague Subject, but there are just so many variables involved.
Short version:
I took the working, bootable hard drive out of my laptop, put it into an
external USB disk enclosure, and tried to boot from it, but got an error.
(The reason for this is because I am planning on installing

Hello,
I am trying to boot OpenSolaris (installed from 2008.05 CD) on a Simics
simulator. Upon boot I get the following error message:

Do you know what could be causing it? Is it because the underlying simulator
