You can boot from install CD, mount your boot environment(BE) ( beadm list show
you list of BEs), mount your one: pfexec beadm mount BEname /mnt/
chmod u+w /etc/shadow

tried to login using root, i was not able to, so i
think you can only login with the normal user
account, and i've forgotten the password of that user

Well... i've used winscp, hmm, the users are totally naive to the linux thing..
well i think it can be done this way, well, just want to ask, using winscp the
user would be able to see/access only his folder i.e., /etc/home/username.

I'm after some help to troubleshoot a system lockup .. I'm not sure what is
causing the issue, there is nothing unusual appearing in the logs
(messages/syslog etc) and I've enabled coredumps, nothing there either. The
