Today I downloaded the delta ISOs created the ISOs for Beta9 and verified the
MD5SUMS.
After several abortive attempts to install via NFS and SMB I installed from
the CDs and this seemed to work. However If I delete add the install source
either CD, NFS or SMB using yast I get the following

As mentioned quite often, the disk space on the CDs is limited.
It's in the Factory tree on ftp.opensuse.org and its mirrors -
on my laptop (the same :-), I can't really use the cd to
install.
So I copy the first disk on the hard draive and install from
there.
