with nVidia, you can twinview (both displays as one) or clone view (both
displays showing same content).

These are the current issues I am having:
Taskbar:
-Doesn't display all windows (have show from all desktops disabled, when this
is enabled, they all show up)
-Hiding is inttermittant
KDE:
-F2 doesn't bring up the run dialog
-kde decorations not working, using emerald
-switches resize
You also don't even have to reload the desktop, just use ctrl-esc to "un-hide"
the taskbar, then edit preferences, and toggle the auto-hide to 'refresh' the
settings and your immediately back in business.

There are repositories that have rpms for Yast to update to the binary
drivers...
You just have to add the source, and update.

I have been seeing this problem for a long time.
For me, it is only ever triggered when I "click" on a menu item. Mostly
the "File" menu item. However, as I read this comment, I froze it up on
the "Tools" menu, as suggested.
I have nVidia driver (commercial), using "Twinview" with an amd_64 r
Someone already stated that it WILL be included in 10.3.

Not sure exactly where or what they might be, but
It probably didn't do a "restore point".
It probably just copied / renamed / tar-gzipped the old libs as you mentioned.
These are probably in the /usr/lib or other lib dirs.
As root, I would do a search like this.
find / -name "*circa*"

The majority of server installs I did when I was a tech was Novell in schools.
I have done lots of work for school districts, and I prefer SuSE.

I have used LTSP myself. I don't remember how to help though
#ltsp on irc.freenode.net is going to be your best bet.
Install konversation from SuSE if you haven't already, and configure the
server above, and join the room #ltsp.
You will get the most help from that chat room. Very helpf

I had an update fail, where the updater would show the update, but not
download or install it. I ended up finding the dir where all the update
files were stored and deleted them. That also deleted my defined sources for
the updates. Inadvertently, showed me where those are defined (what file)
renaming a file basically deletes it (makes it invisible to what is looking
for it) causing the using application to rebuild it. Re-naming instead of
actually deleting gives you the option to restore the original if need be.

I've seen on my own system behavior like that and most of the time it turns
out to be something like running out of disk space or the like. When
applications are updating files (making bigger, like the db for zmd) and they
run out of space, they usually recover (don't crash) but don't continue
