I have a Western Digital 250GB USB drive formatted with NTFS. I use
it interchangeably with my openSUSE boxes and a Windows XP work
laptop.
When I plug it into my openSUSE laptop, it mounts fine and I can
browse the contents (with Konqueror, for example). But it does not
let me drag files to

Looking for some culprits here...pidgin issue, sound system, etc.?
Any guidance appreciated.
The attachment icons are missing for Evolution (openSUSE 10.3 RC1), at
least for IMAP accounts. I've not tested this with POP or other
accounts.
Red X's are showing in the place of the attachment icon.

I currently have compiz working but would like to try compiz-fusion
and associated plugins (which are installed).
How do I 'change' to using compiz-fusion from compiz?
Thanks.

Hi-
I'm looking for tips for getting good looking fonts with emacs on
SUSE...this is gnu emacs and not xemacs.
Ideally, I'd like to use Bitstream fonts, but I don't see them listed
as an option in emacs (they *are* installed and used in other apps).
Right now emacs font look like %#!
Thanks.
This is driving me crazy...how does one remove entries from the Places
sidebar in Nautilus? I have a number of entries there where I made a
number of incorrect entries and I'd like to take them out rather than
have them clutter up the interface.
However - I can find no way to do this. Please
It appears I can *add* Factory repositories ok, but when I try to

Download failed:

An example would be adding
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Community/openSUSE_Factory/
as an install source.
Anyone know how to

to produce output in FLAC, WAV, or ogg.

Hi-
As the subject says, my new motherboard requires a PCI-E video card.
What is a good performing PCI-E video card that's well supported on
openSUSE for under US$150? No gaming here, just compiz effects.
Thanks.

Silly question, but I've always run SUSE on x86-32 machines. I now
have a Intel Core Duo E6400 processor. What flavor of openSUSE do I
need for this? EM64T?
Thanks.

I did some updates on my openSUSE box (includiing kernel) and now when
i rebooted, I'm brought to the grub prompt.
How can I troubleshoot to fix? I realize I should know this, but

Thanks.
