FYI, a bit more debugging ... it seems that if the server and client are set up
for tap, then I have the issue below (client crashing on Windows). But if they
are both set up for tun ... it works fine.

Hi,
Just an FYI, but if the first time you run the GUI you don't run it as
administrator - you get an error message about registry access (failing), and
then the program exiting.
If the GUI has to be run as Administrator, it would be good to configure it
that way.

Hi,
I have an issue running OpenVPN 2.3 (occurs with both Alpha 1 and 2, but likely
earlier versions I'm guessing). I can connect to a Linux server just fine, but
when I try to connect to OpenVPN embedded in my router (Tomato firmware, using
OpenVPN 2.2.2), the client (on Windows) crashes (and

Hi,
Taking off from the thread below - is it possible in Windows to start openvpn,
but only as a sort of local server (for lack of a better term)? I would like to
start it up, and then be able to initiate connections, tear them down, change
proxy, etc. - all via the mangement interface.
Hi Heiko,
Some thoughts, below.
Thanks!

Hi,
I have been discussing this a bit with Samuli, to see if it makes sense – and
it seems that perhaps it does, so let me raise this with the development folks
to get your thoughts. Hopefully this is something that would help OpenVPN (or
at least that’s my intention!).

Hi,
I have been measuring data throughput and RTT on my OpenVPN link (client to
server), and while data throughput has been quite consistent (in the 25-30 Mb/s
range), RTT (ping) has shown a strange artifact.
If I run ping continuously (1 second interval), I may see 10 or 20 very
consisten run
