Ok I have more info about the Issue with our D-link switches (D-link
models DGS-1216T & DGS-1248T). One of the engineers has emailed me an

couldn't get the D-links to work (they're used to Cisco switches).
The current switches are:

Which cost effective make & model of switch would you recommend to work with
Opsview?
We're using Dlink gigabit switches because they cost a fifth the price of Cisco
or Allied Telesyn & until now they worked fine. Unfortunately Opsview can't
report on individual ports with them and this was

Thanks Andrew, but how do I do that?
On the Opsview form where I define a host, giving it an IP address, name,
description, etc. there is a field, right above 'Description:', labeled
'Monitored By:', and my choices (at the moment) are 'Master Monitoring Server',
and 'Slave Cluster A'. I see th

Yeah pretty much, I'm unclear why it is not logging on the slave, but
tcpdump clearly shows the checks coming only from the slaves so I guess its
all good. Just different and unexpected is all.
