Title: row creation or update date??
Hi
This may be an easy question or mentioned before, apologize if so,
But is there some way of finding a row in a table's creation/update date, without there being a date column specific for that purpose. Something like rowid?
TIA

One of the conditions was that the Xserver be free.
xwin32 is cheap, but not free.

This is of course a little less trouble if the developers
are a little less ( *ahem* ), sloppy when developing.
Lack of case sensitivity is not a good excuse for bad practice.

It is an underscored one.
Issue this query to look its value:
select ksppinm,ksppstvl
from x$ksppcv b,x$ksppi a
where a.indx=b.indx
and ksppinm like '%close_cached%';

I use them for transient collections , for example,
the "table" and "cast" operators to pass 'chunks' of
rows about in PL/SQL. Thus this is really just
creating various types in the dictionary and
referencing these in PL/SQL routines.

Hi
I have some problems with Oracle 9i for Linux, I downloaded the files from
OTN then I did all the steps that otn said:
1. Run "gunzip " on all the files.
- Eg.: gunzip Linux9i_Disk1.cpio.gz
2. Extract the cpio archives with the command "cpio -idmv < "
- Eg.: cpio -idmv ht
It is a challenge to make Forms60 & Reports60 work on *nix
due to the fact of file name case sensitivity; since these tools
were built on Windows which is a case insensitive OS.

Yes, it's called dynamic SQL. EXECUTE IMMEDIATE is fine if it's DDL or
hard-coded INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE. SELECTs are more or less complicated,

Can't
do the data, but the design yes.
Oracle
provides a tools called Oracle Migration qworkbench that works pretty
well.
Make
sure that you change the table owner names etc to the correct
owner.
Good
