If your 32-bit install of 9i is only a client install, it need not be in the dba group. Of course, the unix owner would be different from that of the 64-bit server install and with a different ORACLE_HOME. Use the 64-bit server install to startup and shutdown the database instance. Hemant At

Actually, I see references to iAS 9.0.3 and 9.0.4 in various places on Metalink. I think the real difference will be when iAS 9.0.6 is released, which at one time was supposed to be this quarter. A lot of things are supposedly fixed/enhanced in 9.0.5 which won't be released to the public.
