I have heard that there is a problem with performance but... if you get to
5.2 with ML01, that is supposed to resolve the issue.
If anyone knows differently... I would appreciate the knowledge too.

I haven't tried with Fedora and I don't intend until core 2 is out,
but what you need is standard C++ rel 6.1. On RH-9, the required RPM
is compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118

Yes, I have a 4.5G export file on a Solaris box.
Have your System Admininstrator check to ensure the filesystem you are
writing the export file to is configured for large files.
Once you've verified that, then you can export (or import) via a named
pipe. See Note #30528.1 or one of many other
to
complete the export.

Anyway, the TPOCS client is a PowerBuilder client and connects via

There is a rumour going around here that 9i Release 2 is not as finished
as 8i Release 3 is.
i.e. that there are still problems with 9i Release 2.
I have been running it on Tru64 for months now for our OEM repository, no
problems.
I have been running it on my WinXP Pro workstation for months

We have had some... opportunities... but so far the worst one was connected to APPS and depreciation. It was fixed in 9.2.0.3

Got a cust who went
Oracle 9i with failsafe...
Now Veritas is
broke and they evidently know it.
Anyone else bit by
this, and what was the solution
if
any?
I guess the 9i is
supposed to work, but when you
add failsafe it's
broke.. Hearing this 2nd hand
you
know..
