them.. I gave up on the organic version several years ago, when my
plant summering outside got a major infestation and I had slugs eating
leaves and flowers all over my greenhouse in the Fall. The only thing

This summer's weird weather, so far, has left me with a plague of snails in
my hobby greenhouse.I lose the new growth of phals about one or two a night.
I have sprinkled every pot aand the gravel floor with the standard (Safers,
etc) snail baits and installed the guaranteed beer snail
I've had good luck keeping down snail populations with horticultural grade
Diatomaceous Earth used
as a preventative. It's not a quick killer, but will kill most insects and
snail/slugs through
dehydration.
I apply it to my plants at the rate of approximately 2 tablespoons per pot

I believe the liquid product for snails is called Deadline. It is a thick
liquid, almost a paste and comes in a container like dishwashing detergent.
Just squeeze a little on each side of the pot and it does wonders.

I concur with Iris that this seems to be the only stuff which works with
bush snails, but it seems to have disappeared off New Zealand shelves, too.
