my thoughts to this matter:
* Orion has NO support, besides this list which is a good one
* Orion has NO Education
* PL/SQL is not a servlet, it is built into the DB and is widely used.
* Oracle has consultancy, marketing and so forth which is important for
customers (not developers).

anyone out there that has built a plug-in for Orion to Jbuilder 5 and/or
Visual Cafe 4.5 ??

tio me it seems as the data-sources.xml is incorrect. It should be something
like this:
data-source
class=com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource
name=OracleDS
location=jdbc/OracleCoreDS
xa-location=jdbc/xa/OracleXADS
ejb-location=jdbc/OracleDS
The best way to get answers on OC4J is to use the Oracle technet
(http://otn.oracle.com/index.html). It's free but you do need to register.
The Discussion forums are monitored by Oracle and they answer the questions
as soon as they have an answer

development PC and locally on the box.
Yes Net8 is running properly, I wrote a small servlet that uses JDBC to
create and read tables and that on is working
